NOTE: The relationship of Jesus to His Father - He clearly sets forth in this section. Look at the development of His reasoning - sentence by sentence. Though He is answering the questions and objections of His opposers - yet the Spirit is working in the hearts of some of His hearers - and many of these believed unto Him!
How gracious is our God - that He should send His only begotten Son to the world for its Redemption and Reconciliation to Himself - even though the majority of His own - the people of Israel - rejected Him - especially among the leaders.
Many today say - “O - if only I had lived when Jesus was on earth - to hear His teaching and see His miracles!”
No - the endof a matter is betterthan the beginning! We are highly privileged to live at the endof the church age! We are about to see the returnof Jesus the Son of man - as Lord of lords and King of kings! Believers in Him will receive reward at the BEma, the Judgment Seat of Christ! Sinners will hear from Him their judgment at the Great White Throne. Daniel speaks of this day - the Resurrection of the dead - some to glory - others to everlasting perdition. Governor Felix trembledin fear when he heard the apostle Paul reasonconcerning this day!
